Beginning "Blues"

Scrappy blue with white-on-white lattice strips.
Beginning "sample" for group quilt top being made
for annual guild auction in October.

  1. Why white lattice and binding, because it was designed by a committee? I think it is distracting and doesn't pull it together.

  2. Ahhhh...I guess my attempt at a simple description was as clear as mud! These are 24 "units" ( 4 units per block ) that are just up on my design wall not sewn together. The white "binding" is actually the wall. This represents a very small portion of the quilt top, when finished it should have 48 blocks. I think when completed it will be very pretty & will hopefully "fetch" lots of $$$ at our auction.
    Hope this explanation helps?
